¡We all celebrate!
Every year in June, Medellín dresses in color with the Pride celebration, which brings together thousands of people in a cultural event filled with music, art and joy. This year, the celebration went beyond the usual march. It began with a flea market in the Parque de Las Luces, where people from all over Antioquia arrived, then continued with the march through the streets of the city, ending near the Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot, in the sector known as the Obelisco. This march was attended by about 50,000 participants, showing the great acceptance of these events in the city.
The march was mediated by artists and bands that beyond celebrating, also made a call to action to ensure a dignified and safe life for difference.
In addition, the LGBTI+ community also has a space at the Feria de las Flores, where the Ball de las Flores is held, an event that promotes inclusion, freedom and equality in a festive and family atmosphere. Here, tradition is combined with modernity, creating a space where everyone feels welcome.
In Medellín, diversity is not only lived, but also celebrated and respected. The city is a beacon of inclusion in Colombia, inviting everyone to enjoy its culture, delicious cuisine and colorful surroundings. With its friendly and welcoming people, Medellín is a place where everyone can be authentic and live with pride.
