Ciclovía
It’s an initiative that consists of temporarily closing certain sections of the city’s roads to vehicular traffic, turning them into safe and exclusive spaces for citizens to engage in recreational and sporting activities.
What to Do in a Ciclovía?
- Cycling. This is of course the main activity, but feel free to ride your electric bike, skateboard, or scooter.
- Walking and jogging. These activities are ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels.
- Roller skating. It’s a classic activity for lovers of speed and agility.
- Family time. Ciclovías are a wonderful way to spend time with your loved ones.

Tips for Visitors
- Carry a bottle of water to stay hydrated while you exercise.
- Use sunscreen and wear a hat or a cap, especially if you do physical activity during peak sun hours.
- Wear light comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily.
- Wear appropriate athletic shoes that provide good support and cushioning.
- Respect traffic signs and speed limits.
- Be polite by sharing space with other cyclists and respecting the environment.
- Pick up your waste and carry it with you until you find an appropriate container.
- Wear safety elements such as a helmet and reflective lights if you’re riding a bike.

Admission is free. However, we recommend bringing cash, as you will find some spots along the way to buy drinks or snacks.
