A Heat Wave will Arrive in Medellín with “La Solar Festival 2020”

La Solar Festival 2020, one of the city’s most anticipated events, will take place this coming February 15, 2020 at Parque Norte Medellín grounds. The Festival will receive this new decade with tons of colorful and summer experiences delivered by world-class experts of urban, electronic and Latin rhythms, all of which will make the mountains of Medellín dance in a day of intense heat.

After having J. Balvin on stage of the last edition, the “perreo,” dancing quota will be represented by the talent and magic of Sech, the explosiveness of one of the pioneering duos of reggaeton: Jowel and Randy and the special performance of Golpe to Golpe and friends.

With the “Ley de Cine,” our country opened its doors to major film productions, including Colombian and foreign films. As a result, Colombia has already managed to be the home of multiple international productions. According to the Ministry of Culture, among them are the following: Blunt Force Trauma, Abducted and Mile 22, among others.

Within the overwhelming growth of the urban genre, trap will have a large participation on stage by Maikel de la Calle, Khea, Pimp Flaco + Kinder Malo, Ecko and locals Sr. Pablo and WTF Ronnie, in addition to the “neo perreo” from Chile Paloma Mami.

Likewise, the electronic spectrum is showing growth, with top-quality presenters, such as the legendary trance trio Above and Beyond, main representatives of the prolific Anjunadeep label that will be accompanied by one of the world house leaders, the French Duke Dumond, the demolishing Spanish tech house of Chus & Ceballos, and Naaafi, coming from Mexico as the world’s most influential alternative Latin American electronic music collective.

In this range of new proposals, the alternative side will bring an explosive mix of styles such as the electronic indie of renowned composer and producer Chet Faker, now known as Nick Murphy, the emotional and deep sound of the Canadian duo Bob Moses, next to the colorful and renovated house by the French DJ and producer Kungs. And to crown the list of special guests, the local quota with all the flavor and power of Systema Solar.

With a reception that expands like a heat wave, for the past seven years and more than ten editions, the Solar Festival has positioned itself as one of the most anticipated parties in Medellín. 👩‍🎤
