Since 1978, the MAMM has worked to be a living, urban and current museum. For three decades he was in the Carlos E. Restrepo neighborhood and in 2009, the Mayor of Medellín awarded him the Talleres Robledo building, a former 1938 steelmaker located in Ciudad del Río.
In 2015, the Museum inaugurated its expansion building offering the public: seven exhibition rooms, a laboratory for sound experimentation, laboratories for workshops, a theater for cinema and discursive activities, three terraces, a Plazoleta with spaces for coffee, a bookstore and shops. covered parking.
The Museum has academic and cultural programming every week and has a cinema billboard from Thursday to Sunday. The activities can be consulted at www.elmamm.org. In addition, the Museum has a Study Room available to the public, a space to read, surf the Internet, research and work with free admission.
Exhibitions open from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m. and Sundays between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Museum closes every Monday, except holidays. In that case it is open and the following Tuesday closes the public.
The MAMM Store opens every day: Monday from 12:00 m to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. at 7:00 pm., Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The Study Room is available Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. at 6:00 p.m.
Covered parking with open cost from Monday to Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. at 10:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. at 11:00 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9:00 a.m. at 11:00 p.m.
