It is a place for the recognition of the victims of the armed conflict that took place in the city during the past 50 years.

If you want to know the essence of its inhabitants, the multiple memories that make up its history, its reparation process and social reconstruction; you cannot miss this place, which embodies a retrospective on events that marked the city, as a learning experience. The museum reflects the capacity of Medellin’s people to overcome the most adverse situations and move forward. You will be able to see the grief experienced by hundreds of citizens by walking around the rooms and through the photographs, writings, recorded voices and artistic scenarios to avoid forgetting and to make sure that it will never happen again.

This museum has become a tool of symbolic reparations, a national icon that causes an important reflection about the past and that continuously contributes to peacebuilding.
