Medellín Metropolitan Theater
The José Gutiérrez Gómez Medellín Metropolitan Theater is a cultural hub in Medellín, hosting major events and festivals throughout the year. Getting to the Medellín Metropolitan Theater
The theater is located at Calle 41 No. 57-30, near Parques del Río, a scenic eight-kilometer area featuring pedestrian paths, children’s playgrounds, and beautiful views of the Medellín River. It’s also close to Plaza Mayor, Medellín’s international convention and exhibition center; and the EPM Smart Building, which houses the administrative headquarters of EPM, the local utility company. This strategic location not only offers easy access but also boasts a rich array of cultural, academic, gastronomic, and entertainment options in the vicinity.

- From either Exposiciones or Alpujarra stations, it’s about a 10-minute walk west towards Plaza Mayor.
- Several bus routes pass along Carrera 57 or Avenida Ferrocarril, including Belén Las Playas (170), Guayabal (141 and 142,) Limonar (1 and 2), Prado, Itagüí, La Estrella (Raya 5 and 7), and Caldas.
- Metroplús. Line 1, which connects the Universidad de Medellín to Aranjuez park in the north.
