The Mother Laura Ethnographic Museum has become the epicenter of religious tourism in Medellín, serving to disseminate the legacy and testimony of Saint Mother Laura, who lived and died here in 1949.

The museum consists of four rooms: Clothing, Fabrics, Ceramics and Basketry, and Hunting and Fishing. It features nearly 1,500 pieces on display, including ceramics, musical instruments, pottery, and various articles and utensils from indigenous and Afro-Colombian cultures, as well as items from the 21 countries where the missionaries of Mother Laura are currently active.

Inspired by Mother Laura, the sisters collected objects that reflect the identity and significance of indigenous cultures. As a result, the museum houses both temporary and permanent ethnographic and archaeological exhibits that highlight various indigenous, African, and Afro-American cultures with which the Congregation has engaged throughout its history.
