Pequeño Teatro
Founded in 1975, Pequeño Teatro in Medellín is a cornerstone of the city’s cultural heritage. Housed in a historic Republican-style house, which itself is part of the city’s architectural heritage, the theater provides a charming setting with a central courtyard featuring a two-century-old palm tree. The venue also includes two theaters, the Actors’ Training School headquarters, a specialized library, an exhibition hall, and a cozy café.
The two theaters host performances year-round, from Tuesday to Saturday, offering a diverse repertoire of plays—both original productions and guest performances. At times, Pequeño Teatro also serves as the heart of theater festivals.
Conveniently located just one block from the Pabellón del Agua stop on the Ayacucho tramway, the theater is easily accessible from anywhere in the metropolitan area via the integrated transport system of the Valle de Aburrá.
